Robert “Bob” Gothreau
1934-2019
Robert ” Bob”
Gothreau, 84 years of age, of Amherst, passed away
peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019. Born in Amherst, he was a son
of the late Robert & Claudia (Dujuay) Gothreau.
Robert worked for CN Rail for 32 years.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish. He enjoyed archery, 4 wheeling
and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren.
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife,
Yolande, son, Michael (Audrey) of Calgary, AB, Billy (Britt) of
Amherst, Tanya Pugh (Darrell) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Laura,
Joey, Christine, Sarah, Paul, Ashley, Allysa; great grandson, Layton;
sister, Joyce Gothreau, brother John (Carol) both of
Amherst.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his son, Peter John.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre,
70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). The family will receive
visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 2-4
p.m. with parish prayer at 3:30 p.m. A funeral service will
be held at Holy Family Parish on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11
a.m. Burial will take place in the St. Charles – Nativity
Cemetery in the spring.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Holy
Family Parish. Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the
