The family of Veronika Rieger are saddened with the passing of a terrific lady that many of you knew as Oma, Mama, Vera, Veronika, Hun and Tetka.
Veronika Rieger passed away at The Meaford Hospital on Monday, February 4th, 2019. She was a lady with good spirit right to the very end, lots of laughs, a woman with strength and determination which made us all so proud of her.
Vera is survived by and will be deeply missed by her partner Leo Cabral, as well as, all her children – Franz Rieger (Shelley Pearce), Kathy (Randy) Fulford, Marcy Cabral and Sandra Cabral. Sadly missed by all the grandchildren – Jacob Fulford, Emily Fulford, Charlotte Pearce, Lucas Dalla Betta, Elisabeth Sawyer, Jessie Cabral and Josie Cabral. Also survived by one sister Francisca (Joe) Vrhovski. Remember fondly by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her late husband Mathias Rieger, her parents and many siblings.
She will fondly be remembered for all the fun days by the pool, barbeques, family time on the patio and her beautiful garden with a plentiful bounty to share with everyone.
The family invites you to join them at Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2019 between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. for a Visitation and Service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
