Obituary of Mavis Papps
Papps, Evelyn “Mavis” (nee Bennett) – of Blenheim, passed away with family by her side at the Blenheim Community Village on Tuesday February 19, 2019, age 93.
Born in Desborough, England, to parents the late William and Lois Anne (nee Dawkins) Bennett.
Loving wife of the late Robert Anthony Papps.
Beloved mother of Michael (Vi) of Burlington, Garry (Lisa) of Chatham, and Carol Huffman of Chatham.
Grandmother of Aaron (Ramona Johnston) Papps of Victoria, B.C., Michaela (Jon) DaSilva of Sarnia, Tara (Erick) Vandeweghe of Toronto, Sheri (Brent Ashley) Papps of Toronto, Jason Huffman (Erin Seney) of Tecumseh, Chad Huffman (Lisa Barriault) of Blenheim, and Brent Huffman (Michele Fawcett) of Calgary.
Great-grandmother “Gigi” of many loving great-grandchildren who adored her dearly.
Mavis is predeceased also by her brother Norman and sister Enid of England and will be missed by her extended family in England.
Mavis was a tireless volunteer with the Blenheim Freedom Library and the Blenheim Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St., Blenheim on Friday February 22, 2019 from 7-9pm. A Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service will be held at 7:30pm. The Funeral Service for Mavis will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday February 23, at 10am. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.

The Papps family would like to thank the excellent and caring staff at the Blenheim Community Village who cared for Mavis and ourselves during this difficult time. They all went above and beyond our expectations providing a serene comfortable home for us all.
