Marion Cecelia Drake passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the age of 93 years, beloved wife of the late Murdock “Dick” Drake. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, John (Pat) Drake of Sherwood Park, AB, Jim (Marion) Drake of Medicine Hat and Jennifer (Don) Sloan of Blind Bay, BC; six grandchildren, Lee (Todd) Schaufele, Lauren (Scott) Bradshaw, Cam (Jacqui) Sloan, Mark (Michelle) Sloan, Jason Drake, Michael (Christine) Drake; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Dick on June 27, 2011; her parents, William and Thirza Young; two brothers, Len and Percy; and three sisters, Lilly, Jean and Kathleen. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at the family’s request. The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowlands Retirement Residence for their excellent care.
