It is with heavy hearts the family announce the death of Linda Beatrice Lydon of Saint John who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday February 2, 2019. Born in St. Stephen on February 27th, 1949; she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Dewitt) MacDonald. Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and baking and was talented in crafts including knitting and crocheting. She is remembered and missed by her husband of 48 years Paul Lydon; sons Paul Lydon (Betty) and Erin Lydon (Cheryl); precious granddaughter Olivia Grace all of Saint John; sisters Annabel Taylor (Bob) of Grandbay-Westfield and Marilyn Embellton (Pete) of Fredericton; sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws; nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother Bill MacDonald.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Catholic Church,135 Simpson Drive on Thursday February 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment to be held at a later date.
