1944 – 2019
Carol Joan Dickson, wife of Plen Dickson of Miramichi, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday evening, February 21, 2019 at the age of 74.
Born in Saint John, NB, on December 18, 1944, she was the daughter of Gordon Rinehart and the late Joan (Abbot) Rinehart. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrew’s United Church and the U.C.W. She was involved with a Knitting Club and always enjoyed Tuesday’s Ladies Coffee Club.
She is survived by her husband Plen Dickson; father: Gordon Rinehart of Saint John; two daughters: Janice Keenan (David) of Ottawa and Nancy Hughes (Mike) of Woodstock; one son: Randy Dickson of Miramichi; five grandchildren: Thomas, Evan and Luke Keenan, Nick and Riley Hughes; one sister: Vickie Albright (Wayne) of Woodstock; two brothers: Ron Rinehart (Cathy) of Fredericton and Kim Rinehart (Lorna) of Saint John. She was predeceased by her mother Joan Rinehart.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Monday evening February 25, 2019 from 7-9 pm and also on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, Miramichi on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery later in the spring.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to NB Special Olympics, St. Andrew’s United Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
