OBITUARY
Stefanija Furlic
February 23, 1926 – January 15, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Stefanija at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Izidor. Loving mother of Ana Stipan and her husband Ivan. Cherished Baka of Lillian Tarnawsky and her husband Jim and John Stipan and his wife Vesna. Great-grandmother of Evan, Ryan, Eric and Adam. Stefanija will be dearly missed by her nephew Ivan, nieces Visnja and Anna and their families as well as her extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. The family wishes to thank Stefanija’s case manager Mary Ann for her care and outstanding support.
Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
