It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Salvatore (Sam) Mule in his 95th year on Friday, January 4th, 2019 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Tina (nee Novara) of 63 years. Loving father of four sons Chuck, Vince (Janet Davis), Nick and Mario (Una Schieber-Mule). Caring grandfather of Jennifer (Jim) Hinton-Mule, Brendan Mule, Selina, Joshua and Olivia Schieber-Mule and great grandfather of Juliette Hinton-Mule. He will be missed by in-laws, Charlie and Angela Mule, Sam and Filippa Novara and Antoinette Novara of Canada, Stephano and Venera Agnello and Salvatore and Grace Salvaggio of Italy and Angelo and Anna Novara of Switzerland and numerous nieces and nephews in these countries.

He is predeceased by his parents, Calogero and Nicolina Mule, and siblings, Nick (Angelina), Joe (Sarah) and Carmela and brother-in-law Steve Novara.

Sam was born in Racalmuto, Italy, served in the Italian Army and immigrated to Canada in 1948, then worked at Dofasco for 41 years. The family would like to thank the staff in the Stroke Unit of the Hamilton General Hospital and especially the staff of 3 West at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Friends may call at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., Hamilton on Sunday, January 6 from 6-9 p.m. and Monday, January 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Eugene’s Church, 232 Queenston Rd, Hamilton on Tuesday, January 8 at 10 a.m. followed by Committal at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington.
