Auntie Rita “Dita” was like a mother to the Lights of Her Life, Paula, Laura & Gabriel ~ their spouses Vince Filangeri, Giuseppe Rubino and Marija LaSala ~ and their children Viviana, Roman, Nicolas, Alexander, Mia & Matteo. Survived by her sister Daniela and brother-in-law Vito LaSala. Rita is predeceased by her beloved parents Lamberto & Teresa Santaniello and great nephew Angelo LaSala. She leaves behind many dear cousins and friends. Rita loved to travel and was the story teller of our family’s heritage and experiences over the years. She was a dedicated employee of the H.J. Heinz Company for her entire career as an administrative assistant in the engineering department but first and foremost she adored her family. She had a big personality, a huge heart and her family meant the absolute world to her. Rest easy “Dita” as you are now reunited with Mamma e Papa and all of the Angels who have left before us. Always in our hearts and truly unforgettable. Rita’s wish was to be cremated and a private burial, placed with her mother at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life Mass for all friends and family on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 1pm at St. Michael’s Church, 29 Elliott St., Leamington. Words of remembrance and light refreshments to follow in St. Michael’s Church Hall.
