1990 – 2018
A beloved son, grandson, brother, father, nephew, cousin and friend, Riley Levi Lawrence left this world unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born in Nanaimo, BC on June 11, 1990 to Karen Gibson and David Lawrence. Riley grew up in Cranbrook, BC until the age of 11 then moved to Calgary, AB.
Riley loved so many, and was loved by so many more. He had an energy that with even just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life.
He will continue to stay with us through our memories. He had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul, and a sense of humor that no one will ever forget. We will see him everywhere, in his favorite hoodies, the perfect fade haircut to his special tattoos that meant so much to him. He found his passion early on in life for cooking and this eventually turned into his profession. He was a very talented chef and for those that were lucky enough to sample some of his cooking, it was heaven.
When you think of Riley, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Riley was preceded in death by his father David Lawrence and grandfather Sheridan Lawrence. He will be missed every day by his mother Karen, sister Haylee, son Max, grandparents George and Lorraine Gibson and Delphine Lawrence (Gene), girlfriend Abigail, two very special aunts Carolee (Brian) and Kristi ((Bret) and daughters Raine and Jorja), aunts Jill (Bruce), Donna (Randy), LeeAnne and Linda (Wayne), uncle Darcy, cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
