Bowes, James Melville “Mel”
Peacefully, with his son by his side, at Orchard View Retirement Home in Almonte, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, 2 days after his 97th birthday.
Predeceased by his first wife Ev and his second wife Mildred “Millie”. Loving father of Larry. Survived by his sister Edith Bowes and his sister-in-law Ruth Bowes. Predeceased by his brothers Alvin, Willie and Alex. Survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Wednesday January 30, 2019, from 12:00 noon until time of the service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
For those who wish, a donation to Almonte General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
