Janet Cook
1923-2019
Cook, Janet Crawford (nee Plunkett) … On Thursday January 24,
2019, Janet passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights LTC, Kitchener,
where she had moved to from her home in Cambridge. Janet was born in
the village of Inverkip, Scotland and came to Canada in 1956. She is
predeceased by her husband Bruce, parents Beatrice and Malcolm
Plunkett, sister Margaret and brothers Billy, Sandy, Jack, Malcolm,
Danny and Tommy. She is survived by many nieces and nephews in
Scotland and here in Canada. Many thanks to the kindness and care
extended to Janet from the staff of Chestnut residence, Lanark Heights
LTC. Janet’s remains will be taken to Scotland and scattered by
the River Clyde close to her home village as per her wishes. A
Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Corbett Funeral
Home 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 1p.m.,
with family receiving guests one-hour prior. As an expression of
sympathy, donations made to Lisaard House would be greatly appreciated
by the family.
