Henry Charles Paige January 28 2019

Henry Charles Paige
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Henry Paige, on January 28, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Big Lorraine, he was the son if the late Gordon and Minnie (Evais) Paige.
Henry was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing, hunting and camping, he was also a part of the Cape Breton Wildlife Association. He was a hard working man, who worked for the railroad (and before he lost his leg he would work the railroads and lobster fish) finally working at DEVCO until his retirement. Even though he was a mountain of a man, he had a soft spot for his animals, and loved spending time with his family, and of course, never hesitating to crack a joke. His love and laughter will live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta (Day); their children, Marie and Charlie (Hilda); grandchildren, Krista, Ashley, Elisa, Travis, Michael, Donnie, Deseree, and Brittany; five great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon, and special sister-in-law, Marg. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, Henry is predeceased by his sons, Sheldon and Robert.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 31, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Henry Charles Paige January 28 2019..
