OBITUARY
Raymond Leslie Younger
March 14, 1935 – January 4, 2019
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Leslie Younger in his 84th year on Friday, January 4, 2019. Ray is survived by his loving wife Amy (nee Grandits) of 60 diamond years. Son of the late Ralph and Rose Younger. Loving father of Dean (Kathy), Stephen (Jennifer) and Karen (Brad Merritt) and his cherished grandchildren and partners Jorden (Matt), Samantha, Brendan (Danielle), Eric (Emma), Brady and Olivia. He will also be missed by his sister Shirley Marinelli (pre-deceased by brother-in-law Dino) and loving in-laws Jim and Anne Allen and John Kubay (predeceased by Teresa). Predeceased by sisters/brothers-in-law Frank and Phyllis Grandits and Marie Middlemiss. He will be missed by many loving nephews and nieces. Ray was a dedicated employee of the City of Hamilton (previously the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth) with an impeccable work ethic and perfect attendance for over forty years and retired as Supervisor of Inspectors Engineering Dept. He was a longtime coach/convenor of minor hockey, an avid fisherman, an expert at documentation and a diehard Red Wings and Steelers fan. Ray will forever be remembered as a devoted family man who was loved dearly. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Wednesday, January 9th from 6-9 p.m. Please sign the online Book of Condolences at www.cresmountfennellchapel.com
