Obituary of William Adair
Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Tuesday morning, July 17th, 2018. William Adair, of Owen Sound, at the age of 93 years. Dearly loved husband of Lavina Adair (nee Varo) for 70 years. Loving father of William Alfred Adair and his partner, Maureen Toomer, of Lakeside and Dawn Louise Klages and her husband, Fred, of Chesley. Proud grandfather of Clayton (Amber), Carla (Darryl), Trevor (Janet), Matthew (Ashley), Heather, Kenneth (Amanda); great-grandfather of Brandon, Seth, Parker, Finlay, Paige, Mya; great-great-grandfather of Kaiden. Bill is survived by his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Adair, of Oshawa and Joan Adair, of Whitby and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, John and Isabella Adair; his siblings, Jean Dair (Doug), Isabel Fletcher (Gerald), Jack Adair, Thomas Adair and Ronald Adair (Christine).
A Funeral Service for William Adair will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Thursday, July 19th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Benson officiating. Interment in Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Owen Sound will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home at 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
