William (Billy) James Loper
June 3, 1952 – November 24, 2018
Billy passed away peacefully at home. Very much missed and loved by Cecily Pearson, his best friend and soul mate of 40 years. Survived by his mother Noreen (late father Tommy); his brothers Larry (Pat) and Bobby (Patsy); his sisters Joanne (Robert), Wendy (Richard), and Natalie (Kevin); and many nieces and nephews (Adam, Matthew, Michelle, Paul, Sinead, Aemon, Neve, Raurie, Paige, and Ava). Career in the Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, and then the National Research Council of Canada as a machinist/millwright. Former Freemason of Doric Lodge No. 58, Ottawa. Thank you very much to the Ottawa Hospital group, his LHIN nurses, and his palliative doctor for the wonderful care they gave him. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Billy‘s life at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry Kemptville Chapel, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 1 to 4 pm. In his memory, donations may be made to Beth Donovan Hospice, 1107 French Settlement Road, Kemptville, Ontario K0G 1J0.
