It is with heavy hearts that family of William “Bill” Horchuk announce his peaceful passing on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 93 years.
Bill will always be lovingly remembered by his family including his wife of 64 years, Joan; three children, Doug (Sharleen), Marj (Cyril) Gowler, and Don (Michelle); seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.
Bill was born in Coalhurst, Alberta on May 11, 1925, where he grew up on the family farm. At the age of 20 years, Bill joined the Army and upon his release he worked a variety of jobs until becoming established in the oil patch.
Travel, camping, crib, gardening and playing pool were some of Bill’s favorite past times. His great sense of humour, and positive, upbeat attitude will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
A Graveside Service for Bill will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Northern Lights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Salvation Army.
