Almonte, Wilinto (Will) Bayona
March 23, 1950 – June 22, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Will Almonte, 68. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 22, 2018. Will is survived by his wife Concepion (Connie) of 43 years, sons Warren and Dean Almonte, brothers Honesto, Huberto, Armando, Gilberto and Roger Almonte, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Will was a loving father, husband and friend to all. He is predeceased by his parents Salustiano and Sophia Almonte, and 2 brothers Wilfredo and Rolando Almonte. Will was born in Tabaco, Albay, Philippines on March 23, 1950 and came to Canada in 1975. He worked in the Chemistry Department for 30+ years at the University of Calgary. He enjoyed Computer Technologies, cooking, singing, sports and Architectural Design. Will was always there to help friends in various projects including the IT Innovation Project of his Alma mater, Tabaco National High School. We will miss his sense of humour and huge heart. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Eden Brook Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28. Funeral services will be at Sacred Heart Church in Calgary on Friday, June 29 at 10:00 AM. Will will be laid to rest at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens in Calgary, AB.
