WAMBOLDT – R. Wendy, 62, of Mill Village, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and Mary (Paige) Anthony.
In her earlier years, Wendy was a clerk at the former Stedman’s store. She was a member of Bethany United Church, Mill Village and the UCW. Wendy enjoyed spending time with her mother going to Tim Horton’s and shopping as well as spending time with her family when they would come home to visit. Wendy followed her late husband Fred’s interests as they enjoyed life together, in the earlier years with the raising of huskies as sled dogs and sharing a passion for history which led them to the Queens County Museum and the Queens County Historical society. She even tried her hand at canvas painting under Fred’s guidance. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and compassionate wife, mother and caring sister.
Wendy is survived by her son Josh; Her sister Sherry Anthony of Port Alberni, BC; her brothers David of Campbell River, BC; Tony (Sandra) of Calgary, AB; Michael of Halifax.
Wendy was predeceased by her husband Fred.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside memorial will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens General Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
