Peacefully passed away at Bethell Hospice, Inglewood, on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Gooderham; loved father of Jeff and his wife Francine, Valerie and her husband Ermano; loving grandfather of Michele, Andrew, Eric, Jennifer, Jacquelyne, Ryan; dearest great grandfather of Anthony, Aurora, Kaitlyne, Lauryne, Allisyn, Jayson, Hayley, Alexander, Madeleine, and Kieran. Predeceased by his brothers Harold, Murray, Ben and sisters Muriel Peavoy and Mabel Wilson. Sadly missed by his sisters Barbara MacFarlane and Marjorie Champ.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville, Ontario on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Memorial donations to Bethell Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Walter in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
