Boisvert, Vivian Mary (nee George)
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Vivian Boisvert, surrounded by her loving daughters on December 3, 2018 at the age of 95 years in Barrie, Ont. Predeceased by her beloved husband Basil and her daughter Deanna ‘Dede’. Loving mother of Keitha Mitchell (Shane) and Paula Wallin (David). She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents; Dominic and Anna George and by her sisters Anne Marie, Aileen, Bernadette and Anita. Vivian was a long-time member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and was also involved with the C.W.L for over 54 years. She was very compassionate, devout and caring. Vivian was a long-time resident of North Bay. She graduated from Nursing in 1944, she worked thru the polio epidemic, before there was a vaccine, she often mentioned that her faith brought her thru this and many other difficult situations. She worked as a Registered Nurse in many areas across Ontario, including St. Joseph’s and the Civic Hospital. Vivian was also involved with the Meals on Wheels for many years. One of her favorite past-time was spent with her family at their family cottage in the Ottawa Valley. Family will receive visitors at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 from 10 am until time of memorial mass at 10:30 am.
