MacDonald, Verna Marjory
Peacefully, Sunday, January 14, 2018 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her parents T. Duncan MacDonald and Eva (Robinson) and brothers Thomas Alfred and Harold and his wife Katherine (Derby). Verna enjoyed a rewarding career with the federal public service, working at the Department of National Defence. She was a long-time member of Dominion Chalmers United Church where she had many friends. Verna’s interests and hobbies included curling, travelling and spending time with family and friends. She always held her Glengarry home close to her heart. A dignified woman, Verna’s smile and friendly manners will be missed.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 10 until time of the Service in the Chapel at 11am followed by a reception. Spring interment will take place at the East Hawkesbury United Church Cemetery, Ste-Anne-de-Prescott, Ontario. Donations in memory of Verna may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
