Vera Gail Flynn, age 77, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth.
Born on October 14, 1941, in Tenecape, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Vera was the daughter of the late George and Alma (Parker) Brown.
Vera retired after many years working at the Nova Scotia Textiles, Windsor, and had previously worked at the Nova Scotia Freemasons Home, the Windsor Diner and at the Dick’s Hatchery, Ellershouse.
Vera is survived by her children, Rosanna (Donald) Henry, Stewiacke; Kimberly Langdon (Scott), Ellershouse; Teresa (Tony) Peters, Truro; 7 grandchildren, Alexa (Russell) and Bradley Henry; Caleb (Cassie), Ryan and Nicole Langdon; Jacob and Delaney Peters; a special great granddaughter, Annabelle Rose May; brothers, Reginald (Cathy), Rawdon; Robert (Lois), Bible Hill; sisters, Marjorie McLellan (late Percy Lake), Cambridge; Joyce (Phillip) Davison, Falmouth; Helen (Harry) Eldridge, Mill Village; many nieces and nephews; special sisters-in-law, Faye Brady and Muriel Brown.
Besides her parents, George and Alma (Parker) Brown; she was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Alfred “Pat” Flynn (2013); brothers, James and Sarah Brown; Arthur Brown and Almon Brown.
Vera was a hard worker. She was a very social lady who loved her family, a good cup of tea and catching up on the local news. She was always willing to share her point of view. Her characteristic quick wit and mischievous smile will be forever remembered. Vera is finally reunited with her cherished husband Pat, who she missed dearly.
The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the very dedicated team at the Windsor Elms and to the caring Paramedics with EHS, who provided the transportation for her Dialysis treatments. Special thanks to her very supportive friend, Ralph Lyons.
Visitation will be held 6–8 p.m. Thursday, November 1, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix.
