October 10, 1930 – October 25, 2018
Passed peacefully away at Calder Health Centre in Burgeo on Thursday, Oct 25th in his 88th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Minnie of 67 years; Daughters Phyllis (Ira) Keeping, Norma (Bruce) Childs and Shawna (Hughie) Pink; Sons Tom (Jocelyn), Garfield (Patsy), Aaron (Sue), Derek and Brian; as well as 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; Sisters Alfreda , Dorcas and Irene; Brothers Ivan and George, Also a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by son Marvin, Parents Matthew and Phyllis Giles, step mother Fanny Giles, Sisters Mary Lushman, Minnie Keeping and Margaret Frampton; Brothers Wilfred, Hubert, Raymond and James Ashford; and Daughter in law Margaret Giles. The family will be receiving friends from St. Boniface Anglican church on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.
The Funeral service will be held at St. Boniface Anglican Church on Monday, October 29th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Elsie Rose officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery.
