After a long and heartbreaking battle with Alzheimer’s we lost our beloved Mom, Gramma, sister and dear friend on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Poul Petersen (2005).
Loving mom to Jeff Kreller (MaryRose), Frank Petersen, Kim Lubbers (Rick), Mette Petersen-Millar (Catherine), Tracey Pearson (Rick), Mike Petersen. The world’s best Gramma to Lena Rose Barber (Matt), Adrian Hillis (Emma), Samantha Hillis, Courtney Franklin, Nevin Kreller, Nick Pearson, Ben Millar, Ryan Petersen,
Nigel Petersen, Wesley Millar. Loving sister to Norm Shaver (Yolonde), Carol Deforest (Doug) and sister-in-law Jeanette Shaver. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Velma Shaver and brothers Don Shaver and Jim Shaver (Susan). Best friend to Arleen Tingey.
Special thanks to the amazing staff at St Joseph’s Healthcare Centre, Rosewood Transitional Unit who gave her peace and dignity in her final days. The wonderful staff at Guelph General Hospital, 7th floor, who were her extended family for 5 months.
Family and friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 12pm-3pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 3pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society, Guelph General Hospital or
St Joseph’s Healthcare Centre. Cards are available at the funeral home or donations and the condolences can be made on line at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
