It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Terry Danyluik in Yorkton on April 25, 2018 at the age of 66 years.
Terry was born November 13, 1951 in Yorkton, SK. He was the eldest of three children born to John and Margaret (nee Fedorchuk) Danyluik.
Terry began his education at Insinger School. In September 1964 he transferred to Theodore School. He graduated from Theodore High School in June 1970.
Following the completion of his education, Terry decided to pursue a career in farming. During the course of over 40 years, he raised beef cattle and grew a variety of cereal and oilseed crops.
At the time of his untimely passing, Terry was semi-retired and resided in Theodore, SK. He operated a small lawn mowing and snow clearing business in that community.
Terry developed a great interest in sports over the course of his lifetime. He enjoyed following the excitement of the National Hockey League, particularly during the playoffs. He was an avid fan of the Canadian Football League; he attended a number of Saskatchewan Roughrider games over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the Rider Pride atmosphere. Terry enjoyed attending various sports days in the area and sometimes joined the Slo-Pitch ball games.
Terry was predeceased by his mother Margaret in 1996 and by his father John in 2003. He is survived by his brother Les and his sister Gloria, both of Insinger, SK. He leaves to mourn his passing his partner and best friend Marie Toth. He will also be sadly missed by his beloved dog Fonzie. As well, he leaves to cherish his memory a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends that he made over many years.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1 2018 at Christie’s Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Rev. Fr. Mel Slashinsky officiating. The responses will be led by Yvonne Panchuk along with Parish Choir Members.
Casket-bearers will be Les Danyluik, Kevin Danyluik, Lyle Fedrorchuk, Rick Fedorchuk, Deron Malinowski and Barry Bilokrely.
Honourary pallbearers will be Pat Slusarchuk, Debra Milne, and Sandi Henriksen.
A private family interment will take place at the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery (Highway) in Insinger, SK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials honouring Terry’s life may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
