Obituary for
Teresa “Terri” Anne Lavigueur
Teresa “Terri” Lavigueur
Terri passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3rd, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the age of 66. Beloved daughter of Olive (Warmington) and the late Paul Lavigueur; Loving mother of Jamie-Lyn (Robin Garnett); Dear sister of Rick, Denise (Andy), Paulette and Michele (John) and fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Jenny, Victor, Justin, Mark, Rachel and Malcolm; Cherished friend to many more.
Terri moved to Kemptville in 1983 and quickly became a staple around town. Her natural social nature combined with an inherent desire to help those around her led her to developing many relationships within the community. She loved crafting and always had something different on the go, from sewing her special Christmas Tree skirts, scrapbooking, and more recently creating hand-crafted greeting cards that she would send to friends and family “just because”. Terri enjoyed attending theatre and musical performances, and rarely missed an opportunity to support local shows. Terri was a gentle soul and will be remembered for her love of cats, her aura of innocence and unwavering kindness and will be deeply missed by those that knew her.
Friends and family are invited to visit Holy Cross Church, 505 Clothier Street West, Kemptville on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a Memorial Service. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery with a reception to follow at Holy Cross Parish Hall. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Holy Cross Church or the Ottawa Humane Society.
