Obituary of Susan Jantzi
(nee Amies)
Surrounded by her loving family, Sue passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 26th, 2018, after a lengthy and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Beloved wife of Terry for 33 years. Loving mother of Leanne (Kyle Carruthers) and Cameron Jantzi (Erin). Adored grandma of Carter and Lilah. Dear sister of David Amies and Cindy Kent. Daughter in law of Melvin & Patricia Jantzi, and sister in law of Tim (Kim) Jantzi and Bob Jantzi. Cherished aunt of Alex Kent, Jocelyn Kent, Jesse (Kelsey) Jantzi, Justin (Jenn) Jantzi, Nicole Jantzi, Taylor Jantzi and Madison Jantzi. Loving great-aunt of Emmett and William. Sue was predeceased by her parents John & Elizabeth Amies.
Sue’s greatest passion was curling. It was through her love of this sport, that she established countless lifelong friendships. Her business colleagues and clients will forever miss her work ethic and dedication.
Her smile and zest for life will be greatly missed by everyone.
Thank you especially to nurse Lyn, for her compassionate care during Sue’s last days at home.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St., Bowmanville, on Thursday July 5th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday July 6th at 1 pm, with visitation from 12 pm – 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.
