Passed away on Saturday, September 15th, 2018, after a brief battle with lung cancer at the age of 65. Loving mother of Jason (Barb) and Angie (Mark Bickmore). Proud Grandma of Alexander, Miriam, Callia, Emily and Kaden. Daughter of Robert Lafortune (June Carter) and the late Lillian Lafortune. Sister of Maurice (Theresa), John (Janet), Marlene, Diane Allan (Nick) and Robert (Lynn). Longtime friend of Grace and Cor Dykstra, and Ann and Jack Lanthier. Visitation will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road on Wednesday, September 19th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Thursday, September 20th at 11am followed by inurnment and reception. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice Care Ottawa – Ruddy Shenkman Hospice.
