Obituary Overview
Stuart McFarlane
Stuart Elmer McFarlane passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Son of the late Earl and Marjorie McFarlane from Carnduff, Sk and predeceased by son-in-law Alvin (Cheryl) and brother Brian (Linda). He is lovingly remembered by his wife Elaine of 58 years and his siblings Layne (Holly) and Jack (Lynn). He has three daughters Brenda, Cheryl (Rodney), Debbie (Mark) and seven grandchildren Michelle, Trevor, Meaghan (Morgan), Jared (Vera), Jason, Ben and Sarah with great grandchild Logan. Stuart was born on the family farm at Carnduff, Sk and graduated from high school and then pursued a career in the banking industry where he first met his wife Elaine. Working along with the Royal Bank, he travelled across Sk and Ab and then decided to travel and make more money in California. Living throughout California for 11 years, then coming back to be close to family, working at the Credit Union up until his retirement at age 55. Helping at the farm throughout harvest was an enjoyment for him in the fall. His interests varied, visiting with most anyone in sight was always a priority, whether on the bench in the mall or out for coffee and pie. He and Elaine spent many hours travelling to their kids for golfing, camping (fishing was always fix and repair, more than catching) or just plain spending time. The casino was always a favourite for him and Elaine, the gambling and buffet always followed by Tim Hortons. The Saskatchewan Roughriders was his team, he was always the armchair quarterback for the entire game. He belonged to the Cosmopolitan Club of Saskatoon and also a men’s curling league at Nutana Curling Club. Stuart resided at Diamond House in Warman up until his passing and the family would like to thank the staff for their care and support.
