1935-2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley Mae Mahar
announces her passing, which occurred on Friday December 14, 2018 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Waweig, NB on August 9,
1935, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Grace (Maxwell)
Simpson.
Shirley will be missed by her children: Mary, James, Julia
and Andrew (Nancy); grandchildren, Matthew, Sean, Thomas, Krystal
(Justin), Patrick, Meagen, Natasha, Samantha, Cody, Kassandra,
Katelyn, Amanda (Matthew); great-grandchildren, Aura, Jasper and
Eleanor; brother, Everett Simpson (Darlene); sister, Myrna Ross;
sister-in-law, Doris Simpson; daughter-in-law, Leah Mahar; as well as
many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her
sons, Henry “Mickey” and baby Michael; siblings
William “Leigh” Simpson, Randolph Simpson and
Frances Shannon; and a brother-in-law George Ross.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with
Shirley’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be
held. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the
