With heavy hearts, the family of Sandra Loretta (LeBlanc) Davis announce her peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 29, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in Saint John on September 28, 1944 to the late Leon and Marie (Chase) LeBlanc and was the loving wife of Douglas Davis.
Sandra was a devoted wife and mother and worked tirelessly to ensure her family had a happy and welcoming household to come to. She was always cooking and cleaning and loved the fact that she was able to feed anyone and everyone who came to her house. She was very family oriented and relished all of her visits with family. She loved to dance and play BINGO and she was a welcome figure at Wally’s Trailer Park. Sandra was a very dear woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her beloved husband Douglas, she is survived by her two daughters; Valorie (Keith Young) and Tina (Richie Ellis), three sons; Wayne, Terry (Jennifer) and David (Bonnie), 10 grandchildren; Nicole, Caroline, Kenny, Matthew, Greg, Brandon, Jordan, Jaden, Abby and Ciara, great granddaughter Zariah, brother Leonard (Donna) LeBlanc as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Raymond and her 7 sisters; Gloria, Tida, Shirley, Sally, Alice, Rosemarie and Sharon.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10am from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
