Obituary for Roy Dollimount
Roy Llewellyn Dollimount – Passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his loving family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the age of 81 years.
Predeceased by sisters Gladys, May & Leta, brothers Claude & Mark, sisters in law Ruby, Theresa and Geraldine, brothers in law Loyola, Onslow, Bert, Johnny, Bill, Willoughby & Malcolm.
Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Gladys, daughter Sheena (Randy), son Glen (Suzanne), his three precious grandsons, of whom he was so proud, Kyle, Cole & Noah. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters Sarah & Violet & brother Arch (Gerri), sisters in law Sybil, Ruby, & Betty (Paul), brothers in law Junior, Norman (Janet), Randell (Geraldine) & Harvey (Marie), as well as a large group of nieces & nephews, special neighbours and close friends and so many great colleagues & friends who sailed with him during his many years with the Canadian Coast Guard, Marine Atlantic & Woodward Group of Companies.
As per Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at the James J. Hickey Funeral Home in Kelligrews on Saturday, December 22nd, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Roy’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
