Nickerson, Rosemary Glenda – 80, Wood’s Harbour, Shelburne County passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Shag Harbour on July 29, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Edith Smith. Rosemary loved to do crossword puzzles at the family cottage in Upper Clyde. She had a soft spot for animals of any kind. She loved her visits with all of her grandchildren and her get togethers with her sisters and brothers at the family homestead. Rosemary will be lovingly missed by her husband of 65 years, Norman; her 7 children, Glenda Christensen, Wood’s Harbour, Paulette (Donnie) Ross, Stoney Island, Chesley (Chrissy), Wood’s Harbour, Darren (Leeanne), Wood’s Harbour, Stephen (Karen), Wood’s Harbour, Tyrone (Crystal), Bear Point, Justin (Tasha), Wood’s Harbour. Rosemary is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Dougie, Aaron, Stacey, Neil, Hunter, Grant, Heidi, Loghan, Shale, Shanobie, Lynette, Colby, Tineah, Kenzie, Brookelyn, Taylor, ChyAnna; 27 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Merna, Kay and brother, Wilfred. Besides her parents, Rosemary was predeceased by brothers, Norman, Malcolm, Eugene, Lawrence and sisters, Marie and Eunice; grandson, Cole and great granddaughter, Amber. The family would like to thank Dr. Blair, Dr. Riley, Dr. Roland Muise, Yarmouth Regional Hospital (Staff of 3 South), V.O.N., Barrington and the Halifax and Yarmouth Cancer Units for their compassionate and kind care of our dear mother. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be a memorial service 3:00p.m., Sunday, September 23 at the Calvary United Baptist Church, Wood’s Harbour, Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Memorial donations may be made to any local animal shelter; QE II, Halifax, I.W.K. or charity of your choice.
