OBITUARY
Rosalind Marie Baxter
June 18, 1920 – June 10, 2018
Rosalind Marie (Theriault) Baxter passed away peacefully at Melville Lodge, Halifax, Nova Scotia on, June 10th, 2018, eight days before her 98th birthday on June 18th.
We will remember our mother as a strong person, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Dearly loved mother of Patty Young, Hamilton, Ontario; Joan Faulkner, Dartmouth; Susan Potter (Ross) Cornwallis; Michael Baxter (Gwyn), Hamilton, Ontario; Kim Marshall (Gordon), Upper Tantallon; Sharon Rockwood, Dartmouth; and Jamie Baxter (Rick Isnor), Timberlea;
14 grandchildren, Jodi Faulkner, Steven Faulkner (Jean), Kathryn Young, Karyn Young (Bill Ashford), Todd Hicking (Imelda), Jason Hicking (Julie), Justin Hicking (Chandra), Anthony and Sarah Baxter, Leigh and Evan (Katie) Marshall, Jessica Heidebrect (Ken); 2 step-grandchildren, Stacey Graham (Jeremy) and Stephanie DeMerchant (Matt);
Three great-grandchildren, Jake McEneny, Conan and Tora Hicking; five step-great-grandchildren, Matt Tyler, Alivia, Katie and Evan Graham and Tyler Burpee; and step-great-great grandchild, Jack Tyler.
She is survived by her sister, Lillian Fox (late Alec), Ottawa, Ontario.
She is predeceased by the following: her parents, Jessie (Lewis) and Herman Theriault; sisters, Freda Doty (late Victor), Lennie Thompson (late Charles), Dorothy Farstad (late Otto), Evelyn Theriault, Gwendolyn Theriault, Marilyn Banks (late Clifford); and brothers, Franklin (Nellie), Lloyd (late Bernice), Lovitt (late Mary) and Clark (Thelma).
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Melville Gardens and Melville Lodge, Halifax, for their kindness and care during her stay there.
The funeral service will be held at the Deep Brook Baptist Church, Deep Brook, on Sunday, June 17th at 2 p.m. The family invites you to an informal reception after the service. Interment will be at Clementsvale Cemetery after the reception.
In memory of Rosalind, donations to the Deep Brook Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers.
