After a lengthy illness, we sadly announce the passing of Ronald Richard, husband of the Late Kathryn Howe-Richard, on December 19, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 7, 1943 in Ste. Ann-de-Kent NB, Ron was the son of the Late Romeo and Marguerite (Boudreau) Richard.
Ron was a member of the International Longshoremen Association Local 273 and worked many years at the Port of Saint John until his retirement. He loved to play cards, Bingo and spending time with family and friends, especially his only grandchild Jase.
Ron will be missed by his daughter Lesley (the Late Lee Pidgeon), son Michael, and grandson Jase, as well as one niece and two nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ron was predeceased by brother Jean-Noel and infant brother Ronnie.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
