Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Died peacefully after a full day with family present. He is greatly loved and will be terribly missed by Andree, his devoted wife of 61 years, his children; Nancy Asciak, Terry Fortin (Richard), Bobby Turnbull Jr. and Connie Balzer (Bert) and their loving family friend Stephanie Asciak. He adored his grandchildren; Michael, Danielle (Wally), Zachary (Amanda), Robyn (Michael), Steven A, Steven B, Christopher (Kendalyn), Darren and Keenen as well as his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Carter and Noah. Dad has one sibling left, his sister Joan, who drove from northern Ontario to see her brother one more time. First and foremost, dad’s whole life was dedicated to our mom; how we loved to watch them dance! He loved a good time with family and close friends, a good joke, uncontrollable laughter, a cold beer, great food, country music, camping and his many dogs over the years. He never forgot the most important things in life and instilled in us an appreciation for what we had and the love we shared. He had a deep respect for God and his final years were spent practicing his faith at St. Anne’s Parish. We will miss our crazy, funny, risk-taking father. He really was a maverick. Rest in peace daddy, we love you so much! Visitation will take place at St. Anne’s Parish on Friday, Sept. 14 from 4 pm until the time of Mass at 6 pm. He will be buried at St. Anne’s Cemetery right after Mass. In lieu of flowers we ask you to make a donation to the St. Anne’s Church Building Fund. God bless you! Arrangements entrusted to Marcotte Funeral Home (519-735-2830). Online condolences may be left at www.marcottetecumseh.ca
