Obituary for Robert Anthony Bartsch
Bob Bartsch, beloved husband of Gwen (Grant) Bartsch, loving father of Kim (& Darryl) Cembal of Kingston, Maria (& the late Robbie) Stewart of Whitby and “Jaime (& Joe) Gunter of Bancroft, loving grandfather of Darryl Jr., Joel (& Zak) and Kori (& Jordan), great grandfather of Cole and Sloan and dear brother of Donnie (& Loretta) of Oshawa, Eleanor (& the late Lyle) Wagar of Amherstview, Paul (& Joan) of Edmonton, Keith (& Helen) of Kingston and the late Mary (& the late Leo) Kenny. Bob was employed as a teacher and principal for over 35 years with the Catholic School Board and taught in numerous locations. He and Gwen have resided in Bancroft for 29 years and has enjoyed just over 22 years of retirement. In his early years, he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball and of late was an avid golfer, ice fisherman, gardener, hunter, camper, wood worker and maple syrup manufacturer. His faith was of utmost importance to him and he attended mass very faithfully and loved to sing, having been blessed with a beautiful voice. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
