Rita lived a fulfilling, blessed life between March 8, 1974 and October 19, 2018.
She is survived by her loving, wonderful, devoted husband Scott Piggott, her incredible father Bruno Rudolph and her big-hearted little sister Margaret Potter, along with her amazing husband Sean Potter and their beautiful daughter Maddie.
Rita is predeceased by her mother Irene (Lasser) Rudolph who gave Rita life, love and faith. Irene is able to welcome her daughter Rita into heaven, along with the other faithful people who inspired her and who have gone before her.
Rita also wants to thank her “brother” Fergus Kelly and the Piggott, Lasser and Kocher families for their love and support.
Rita had the opportunity to write this in advance…so here I am!
Do not be afraid as this is in the bible 365 times for us to remember daily. Please do not be sad for me and don’t feel like you have to wear black to my funeral celebration, colour is very encouraged! I will be celebrating my eternal life with my Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Mary!
Rita’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519)749-8467. Prayers 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St. West, Waterloo, on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Her resting place is at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hepworth, by St Anthony’s toes. The interment service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Couples For Christ Canada or a house of God of your choice (cards available at the funeral home).
