Charles Richard Pretty, age 68, of Shakespeare passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on January 26, 2018. Beloved son of Marion Pretty and the late Gordon Pretty. Richard is survived by his loving wife Brenda. Father of Lora Curtis (Joel), Mike Pretty (Alex), Melissa Rintoul (Dean), Rebecca Becker (Josh). Grandfather of Hayleigh (Simon), Declan, Marta, Brandon and Deacon. Dear brother of Alan Pretty (Wendy), Lynn Bell (Norman), Joan Badder (Bev), Scott Pretty (Joanne), Cheryl McInerney (Bruce) and Keith Pretty (Judy). Also survived by a sister-in-law Marie Pretty and many nieces and nephews and their families. He will also be remembered by his longtime friends and coffee buddies. Predeceased by his father Gordon Pretty and a brother Norman Pretty. A private family memorial will take place. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford.
