Entered into rest peacefully, in the presence of his family at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Rev. Fr. Stanley Robert Riley, at the age of 89 years. Former Rector of Trinity Anglican Church (1988-1995), Brockville, past associate at St. James Anglican Church, Maitland and former interim minister at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Brockville. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Annand) and dear father of Wayne (Carole), Scott (Kathryn) and Steve (Jen) Riley. Sadly missed by his five grandchildren Erin, Jeff, Amanda, Olivia and Jack as well as his six great grandchildren. Stan was the youngest of nine siblings and is survived by his sister, Frances Miller and brother, Arthur Riley (Dorothy). Predeceased by his parents Isabella and Jack Riley.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, October 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 96 will gather for a memorial service at 6 pm. A service in celebration of thanksgiving for Stan’s life will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 11 am at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 12 Pine Street, Brockville. Interment will take place at St. James Cemetery, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Capital Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
