1924-2018
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Regina Richard,
93, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday, July
31st, 2018. Born in Saint-Louis, she was the
daughter of the late Clement and Marguerite (Vautour) Babineau. Regina
was a member of the Dames de Ste. Anne and a member of the Club
d’Age d’Or, Saint-Louis.
Regina will be sadly missed by her six daughters,
Viola Ouellette (Phillippe), Gisele Thebeau (Elie), Rose-Mai Vautour
(Michel), all of St-Ignace, Evangeline Leger (Adelain) of Dieppe,
Edith Hagmann (Reiner) of Germany and Idora Richard of Aldouane; four
sons, Everard (Norma) of Saint-Louis, Theodule (Lynn) of St-Charles,
Gervais (Mai-Maie) of Saint-Louis and Yvon (Stella) of Laval, Qc.; 20
grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild.
Regina also leaves to mourn her seven sisters,
Aurore Gallant (late Jean-Baptiste) of Saint-Louis, Exina Martin (late
Lionel) of Ontario, Marie-Luce Leblanc (late Paul) of Saint-Louis,
Anna Arsenault (Eric) of Ontario, Marie-Anne Richard (Emerie) of
Massachusetts, Cecilia Babineau and Lucie Babineau, both of Moncton;
three brothers, Firmin (Zèlica) of St. Louis, Alfred
(Eugenie) of Saint John, Clement (Helene) as well as
many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Regina is predeceased by her
husband, Edouard; an infant son, Joseph; and four sisters, Ursule,
Alice, Louise and infant Cecile.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday from
2:00pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Monday, August 6th, 2018 at
4:00pm, Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Donations in Regina’s memory may be
made to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to give special thanks to
Norma Richard, as well as the staff at the Foyer Bois Joli and the
Stella Maris Hospital for the excellent care provided to
Regina.
