OBITUARY
Regan Blair Lazar
October 13, 1965 – March 20, 2018
It is with profound & deep sadness that we, the family of Regan Blair Lazar, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Edmonton, AB at the age of 52.
Regan is now reunited with his Dad, Paul Lazar; Brother-in-law, Ivan Wrigley; Nephew, Kyril Wrigley; niece Allana Morton; both sets of Grandparents and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & extended family.
Left to carry on his legacy & cherish his memory are; the absolute love of his life, Joanne Leask; children, Brady (Roxanne Claude) and Aleena (Dakota Blanchard); Siblings, Melody Reid, Brenda & Stewart Morton; Nieces & Nephews, Tricia, Kelley, Trace, Taylor, Kruz & Nixon. Also Step Mom Sylvia Lazar & Step kids, Brandon & Cody Legere.
Regan grew up in Lampman, SK then graduated in Estevan, SK where he played SJHL hockey for the Estevan Bruins for two years. After graduation he went to work for ESSO Resources. In 1988 he married Lisa Ludwig & they moved to Edson, AB where they raised their children. At the age of 38 Regan retired!!! Can you imagine! A few years later he decided he was bored & returned to work for Suncor at Firebag- Fort MacMurray. Above all Regan worked hard all his life and was good at everything he did. If he let you into his life you were really special to him.
In 2013 he met Joanne. They shared a love so special- a love people search for all their lives and dream about, they were truly soulmates.
How Regan loved his kids! He was so very proud of them and their achievements! Countless hockey games watching Brady play (and getting kicked out of the arena for being a “bit” overzealous!) and always encouraging Aleena to do her very best!
He enjoyed time with friends and family at his Bashaw Golf Club Trailer. He spent his summers golfing, kayaking and barbequing for good nights with friends.
He had an amazing sense of humour and lived by the motto “Life is Good”!
We’ll miss you dearly Regan; So until we meet again “We Got This”!
For friends who wish to celebrate Regan’s life; his service will be held at St. David’s United Church, 4614-48 Street in Leduc, Alberta on Monday, March 26th at 2pm with a luncheon to follow (also at the Church).
