Helen Andrei, late of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. She is predeceased by her husband Wesley Andrei and her parents Joseph Yaremchuk and Elsie Yaremchuk. She is also predeceased by her brother Harry Yaremchuk and her sister Lena Gogal-Antony. She is survived by her four children Faron Andrei, Doyle Andrei, Lyndon Andrei, Rhonda Andrei and her daughter-in-law Debra Andrei. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jamie Ayres (Ryan), Dustin Andrei (Kim), Devin Andrei and Jackson Andrei. She is also survived by her three sisters Gladys Fraser (Leonard), Anette Wallace (Larry) and Evelyn Zawerucha and by many members of the extended Yaremchuk and Andrei families.
A private family burial will be held in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Regina. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Living Hope Alliance Church, 3900 Arcola Avenue East, Regina, Saskatchewan with Pastor Wayne Andrie officiating.
Helen Andrei was the third sibling in the line of five born to Joseph and Elsie Yaremchuk. She was born on the family farm near Hinchcliffe, Saskatchewan. She grew up in the Hinchcliffe and Endeavor area. As a young lady she eventually moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where she began working at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and lived with her girlfriends. Helen was fond of dancing and it was at Temple Gardens Dance Hall where she met her future husband. Wes and Helen were married on June 11, 1955. In 1958, they began having a family which was of paramount importance to her. Her life’s work centered around her family and her love was felt by all. She was a kind and thoughtful person who cared about others first. She understood how to rise above difficult circumstances and was strengthened by her faith.
Helen will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
