It is with much sadness that the family of Raymond “Frostie” Alliston Frost announce his passing on February 10th, 2018 in Saint John, NB, after a brief bout with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Norma, his daughters; Raylene (Jim) and Arlene, his grandchildren; Dayna, Corey and Christopher (Michelle) and his great-grandchildren; Christopher and Matthew. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on January 12th, 1924, he joined the army as a young man to fight in WWII and served until he was 55. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked as a civilian mechanic at Camp Gagetown in Oromocto, NB until he retired in the 1980’s. Just prior to retirement, he was invited to play a round of golf for the first time and never looked back. He played every season since then, including last summer, and was one of the oldest members at the Rockwood Park Golf Course. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service. Cards of condolence can be sent care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. in Saint John, NB. Donations in Ray’s memory in lieu of flowers, can be made locally in Saint John to Bobby’s Hospice or to a local palliative care/hospice in your area – to help support their great work. He will be greatly missed.
