OBITUARY
Pius Peter Bezzina
May 13, 1929 – December 11, 2018
In Loving Memory:
It is with great sadness that the family of Pius, Peter Bezzina, announces his passing, after a long illness, on December 11th., 2018, at the age of 89 years, in Halifax, NS.
A private family visitation, followed by a cremation service has been arranged by Cruikshank’s Funeral Home.
Peter was born in Hamrun, Malta to John and Theresa on May 13, 1929. As a young man, he was the adventurous type and enjoyed traveling. He met and married Lucienne on August 26, 1961 in Toronto, Ont. He worked for the CIBC for over 32 years and provided a comfortable life for his family. He enjoyed ball-room dancing with his wife, jazz music, carpentry work, travelling, and watching soccer.
He loved unconditionally and was caring towards others. He was a devoted family man who was truly loved and respected.
He was funny, kind, witty, caring, generous, thoughtful, and almost always had a smile on his face. His personality was such that everyone he met couldn’t help but love him.
He was a dedicated Catholic who took comfort in his faith during his struggles with his failing health.
Peter is survived by his wife of 57 years Lucienne, his son Marc and his wife Ann, and his Grandson Matthew.
The family of Peter Bezzina wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the dedicated team of doctors and nurses in the Dialysis Unit at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Leo Wisniowski, thank you for your unwavering care and attention. A sincere thank you to the emergency response personnel of NS who were always pleasant, ready and willing to assist. A special thanks to our dear friends, who are always there when we need them, especially Nancy and Milton.
He will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
