Passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor on Saturday April 21st at the age of 100. Predeceased by her husband James Edward Wood (2000), her parents Thomas and Mabel (Baines ) Callaghan and her five siblings: Dorothy (Pratt) Robertson, Thomas Callaghan (Evelyn), Jack Callaghan (Betty), Keith Callaghan, and Alice Schnupp (John). She is survived by her daughter Tracy (Toy) Tonkin (Eric), her three granddaughters, Samantha (Ben Walker), Jessica Carswell (Jason) and Abigail Carswell (Shane). She was blessed and thrilled to be Gigi to her three great grandchildren Alexis and Owen (Jessica’s) and Annabella (Abby’s). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She especially loved her sister Alice’s girls Janet, Susan and Mary Elizabeth. She will also be missed by Joseph Toy and other Toy family members in London and Windsor, Ontario. Visitation will be held at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday April 28th, 2018 from 1-3pm. The last half hour of which will be a short prayer service. A huge thank you to everyone of Nipissing Manor for the wonderful, loving care they gave mom over the past five years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
