Phoebe passed away on December 18, 2018 at the Heritage Lodge Nursing Home in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 95.
She was the second youngest, and last surviving, of twelve siblings in the Shortridge family. Phoebe is survived by her children Chris (Roberta) of Portage la Prairie, Elaine (David) Pollock of Ottawa, and Bjorn (Roberta) of High Bluff, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
At Phoebe’s request, there will be no funeral. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Phoebe may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 2 – 218 Saskatchewan Ave. E. Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0K9, the Community Foundation of Portage & District, P.O.Box 1153, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3J9 or to a charity of your own choice.
