15 March , 1938 – 28 May , 2018
Peter was born in Holland to Peter and Femmy Loos. When Peter was 15, the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Edmonton. Peter worked for the NAR from the age of 15 until he retired at the age of 50 as a time clerk and enjoyed the friendship of many colleagues there. After that he worked for Northlands as a parking supervisor and finally with Cool West Equipment helping with the books.
Peter married Adele and each adopted the other’s children, Lynn, Liz and John. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in September of 2017. The family has since grown with the addition of grandchildren Amanda, Aaron and Abriana, along with great grandchildren Reilly and Gemma. Peter has also been surrogate grandfather “papa” to many of his daughters’ foster babies and enjoyed making them laugh.
Peter spent his free time on the golf course at Raven Crest with his golfing buddies. Weekend breakfasts or suppers were a common occurrence with the family and in-laws. He enjoyed playing cards with those from Horizon Village. More recently he looked forward to meeting once or twice a week with his friends at Timmy’s for coffee and chats.
Peter is predeceased by his parents, his sister Tina, brother Piet and recently his niece Janice.
Peter is survived by his wife Adele, daughter Lynn Moroz, granddaughter Abriana Moroz, daughter Liz Jakymec, son John (Alanna) Loos, grandchildren Amanda Loos (Ryan Kerr), great grandchildren Reilly Kerr and Gemma Kerr, and grandson Aaron Loos.
