It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peacefully passing of Pearl Niles at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Pearl, beloved wife of 60 years to Sherman Niles. She was predeceased by her son Pernell and will be sadly missed by her loving children Cindy (Richard), Kendall (Kim), Darrell (Cathy), and Patti (Rick), her cherished grandchildren Gilles, Danielle (Luca), Matthew (Nora), Dominique (Matt), Lance, Kyle (Brandy), Dillon, Jethro, Olivia, Zachary and Holly, as well as her great grandchildren Jasmine, Victor, Tallan, Chloe, Emily, Noah, Ava, Greyson, Ava, Abel and William. Pearl was predeceased by her brothers Arthur and Ivan and her sister Carolyn. Pearl’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, followed by cremation. A memorial service celebrating Pearl’s life will be held at the Trinity Anglican Church, Wolfe Island, on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:30 am, followed by inurnment at Christ Church Cemetery. A reception will be held following the committal service in the St. Margaret’s Church Hall, Wolfe Island. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Wolfe Island Fire Department or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in Pearl’s memory.
